I am so happy to once again be able to follow Hillary's progress.

Life throws us all a big curve ball.  Sometimes they are good and sometimes they aren't.  I got a really good one this morning when I opened an email from Xanga and found that your blog is back.  I've been so tied up in my own trials and tribulations that I've lost contact and things have just recently calmed down enough to get caught up.  I am so thankful that God has continued to bless your family with Hillary's progress, and the recent additions to the family.

As has been mentioned, God didn't cause this, but He is most certainly using it to bless others.  Hillary, you are one beautiful inspiration for us all.  God bless you and keep you safe!

Hillary, I am so glad to hear from you and excited to be a friend. I have wondered how you were progressing. I am a different kind of relative, as I was once married to her father's cousin. I still consider his relatives mine, since we had two sons, Brian and Kevin Dixon. Their grandmother was Hugh's sister....Anyway, I look forward to being a friend. I admire you for the strides you have made. Beverly Dixon

Shawn...my dear sweet and precious friend of Maggie's.  MY heart and prayers are yours.  I could not find your number after hearing about this...so now I hope this finds you strong and well.  Let me say that you and Hillary are in my prayers and that I too, find you to be such an inspiration.  I know...I can read that you have recieved all of this and grown and I truly believe that's what we are supposed to do.  Once we experience the threat of losing a loved one...or even losing our own lives...we change our priorities and our view of life.  I know that you are in a good place...and I am so happy for you.  God Bless you and Hillary and the rest of your wonderful family.  You are a wonderful Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter and human being.

    love you,

As I sit here with tears running down my face so torn between not having this site to look forward to anymore and so amazed of how much of a journey this has been and how truely blessed I am to have you all in my lives, I have so thankful to God and to everyone who has thought, prayed, and supported you through this time and who will continue you to do these long after this site is over.  Last night when I got a text message from Hillary (the first since before the accident), my heart was overjoyed at where she is today and how truely independent she is becoming!  Shawn, thank you for your entries and Hillary, thank you for being such an inspiration to all who know you!  I love you all so much!!

    XOXO

I remember when Hillary was itty bitty and her Daddy Paul had to kiss everyone of her stuffed animals goodnight every night! She had names for all of them and would make sure Daddy did not forget any of them. I thought about that the other day when I leaned over and kissed her in the ICU. She deser

I remember for Tilghman/Mayfield week Hillary and I both dressed up on Hick day or some special day and we took a picture b/c we called ourselves salt and pepper. The funny thing about it is that they put it in the yearbook and I can always go back and look at it. I laugh every time b/c I was still

I remember using Hillary as my mother's helper when Andy and Caroline were just babies and she was 8 years old. She was so responsible, she was like a junior mother. We had a great time going to the zoo, museum, mall, mcdonalds. She was my sanity! I also remember leaving her with Andy, then 2 fo
